While an incline press does increase upper-chest involvement compared to a flat press, the difference usually isn’t as large as most people think. If you want to bias the upper chest more during pressing, avoid flaring the elbows. A more tucked elbow path increases the shoulder-flexion component of the press and aligns the movement better with the clavicular head of the pec. If you’re setting the bench to 45 degrees when you do incline bench press — you may be using more front delts than you’d like. Instead, I recommend 30 degrees as a gold standard incline bench press angle to best bias the upper chest (with or without an arch). This is generally two notches away from flat #fyp #fitness #gym #bodybuilding
