To preserve and enhance the historical value of Intramuros, the Intramuros Administration (IA) was established in April 10, 1979, through PD1616, with the mandate to ensure the restoration, development and maintenance of the Walled City. As IA celebrates its 40th year, there is a need to make Intramuros more relevant to the changing times. As such, IA now focuses on the efforts in engaging local businesses, investors, tourists and locals to take a second look at Intramuros and imagine a vibrant
