I recorded this male proboscis monkey while visiting at Taman Safari Prigen. Only males have large, pendulous noses which help their calls carry throughout their home range. Their nose is also an indicator of their social status - the larger the nose, the more dominant the male. And though they spend most of their time high up in the trees within Borneo’s forests, this species also loves to swim.
