An elevated platform has been prepared at Tehran’s Mosalla for the coffin of Ali Khamenei, the Islamic Republic’s killed leader, images and videos published by state-affiliated media showed. Hassan Hassanzadeh, head of the funeral committee, said the structure was designed to be visible from the main courtyard, halls and rooftop areas. Officials have also proposed an aerial funeral procession in Mashhad, where Khamenei is scheduled to be buried on July 9.
